‘Are we getting an extra Bank Holiday?’, asks Britain 

Following the sad news this week of the passing of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II, the British public has united in demanding that the powers that be formally confirm one key point: 

“Does this mean that we all get a day off work?”

Sid Barmby from Basildon summed up the nation’s feelings when he told our reporters:

“I’m as royalist as the next fella. But I’ll tell you what, I’ll be the best, most subservient subject you’ve ever seen if I can get pissed a week on Monday, rather than clocking in at that bastard factory.”
