Matt Hancock falls on sword, having washed it after aide allegedly ‘fell on it’ repeatedly
Breaking News: Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, has resigned.
NEWS of the NEWS has learned that Hancock was persuaded to do so by Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, following a lengthy telephone conversation.
Johnson was apparently irked by recent revelations regarding the Health Secretary’s affair with friend and aide, Gina Coladangelo, which the PM felt reflected badly on him.
We understand that Johnson feared his own long-held positions as “Sir Shag-a-lot” and “Mr Pork-tastic” were in jeopardy, giving him no alternative other than to force Hancock’s resignation.
